Hello Panthers!

I am incredibly grateful and excited to join a team so dedicated to the students and families of Navarro Elementary School. Having been raised in a rural community, I understand that school is more than a building for families and staff. It’s a place where every student is known, every staff member is a critical and visible member, and every relationship matters.

My professional background includes being a teacher, instructional coach, academic dean and assistant principal in elementary and middle schools. My experience as a reading interventionist instilled in me a deep belief in early literacy as the foundation of a student’s successful educational journey.

My goal is to partner with staff members, families, and students to foster a learning community where we all feel valued and supported. School culture is of utmost importance, and I cannot wait to meet everyone in person so that we can build upon the strong foundation that is already set at Navarro Elementary.

Thank you for the warm welcome that has already been extended to me. I am genuinely excited to work for a school and community that I deeply respect. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Hello! Welcome to Navarro Elementary School!

I am thrilled to be part of the Navarro ISD team and consider it an honor and a privilege. This will be my tenth year at Navarro ISD.  Prior to that, I taught in Bastrop ISD and New Braunfels ISD in various capacities, everything from Special Education, PE, Reading Intervention, and classroom teacher for grades 1st  all the way up to 8th grade.  I received my Bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and my Masters degree from Concordia University in Austin.

I am proud to be raising my three boys in Navarro ISD.  We have been a part of the Navarro Panther family since my oldest son started Kindergarten, and we couldn't be happier.  As a parent, it is so comforting to know that your children are in safe hands and are being educated by the best teachers, coaches, and staff in the state of Texas.  We are truly blessed here at Navarro.

The faculty at Navarro Elementary greatly encourages active parent participation in their child's education. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or praises! We are happy to help and work hard to provide your child with the absolute best learning environment so they will become lifelong learners and contributing citizens of our outstanding community.

I am deeply honored to be the Assistant Principal at Navarro Elementary.  I am committed and personally invested to continue our reputation of excellence here at Navarro ISD.  I am looking forward to seeing our returning families and welcoming our new ones.   This is going to be a fabulous school year!

Again, let's keep our lines of communication open to ensure the success of our students and our campus as a whole. We are privileged to have the best teachers and administration in the state of Texas. By collaborating together, we demonstrate to our students our commitment to their education and future.

With warmest regards and respect,

Tasha Goode M.Ed.
